We're researching and developing a new work called The Sleep Show: A dreamy dance-theatre experience
TOURING IN 2025
The Sleep Show will be a heartfelt and poetic exploration of sleep, where the wonders of dreaming, soothing rhythms of lullabies, and secrets of the body clock come to life through dance and theatre.
We're creating it with children aged 4+ and their adults in mind, and promises to be a captivating performance transforming the mysteries of sleep into a joyous adventure.
The Sleep Show playfully explores the challenges children face around bedtime, turning the often daunting experience into one of fun and discovery.
Through imaginative storytelling and beautiful choreography, we're offering fresh perspectives on sleep that encourages meaningful conversations between parents and children about the importance of a good night's rest.
So tuck in, let the magic of sleep unfold around you, and embrace the journey to dreamland with your little ones.

The Sleep Show is a show for children aged 4+ and their adults, about sleep and everything that comes with it. Sleep is such a huge topic for all children and all parents, and as a parent it has been a really significant thing in my life. We started with a lot of research with sleep experts. We wanted to know how we sleep, why we sleep, what happens to our bodies when we sleep. Then we went into schools and we did lots of movement exercises with the kids around sleep. So we looked at dreaming, night-time routines, and what happens to our body and brain when we sleep. Some of the movements that the kids came up with have actually been integrated into the show.
We’ve been exploring movement around creating different dreamscapes, various sleep routines and sleeping positions. We’ve played with the textures and softness that surrounds going to bed and getting ready to sleep. And those materials have informed the movement, energy and atmosphere of the piece.
I want families to come out feeling that sleep is a joyful thing that you can celebrate. There’s a lot of theory and anxiety around sleep, plus a lot of dos and don’ts. Ideally, we’d like people to go in to the performance uninhibited of any of those negative thoughts. We want them to experience the concept of sleep as a poetic, beautiful and dreamy paradox that happens to our bodies.
